The Plague
Description
"The Plague" is a dark and foreboding world set in the 17th century, during the height of the bubonic plague's devastation across Europe. The atmosphere is thick with fear and despair as cities, towns, and villages fall victim to the relentless spread of disease. Streets are abandoned, and once-thriving marketplaces now stand silent. The world is governed by uncertainty, as rumors of supernatural forces, divine wrath, and cursed fate run rampant among the people. Medical knowledge is primitive, and while some brave healers attempt to treat the afflicted with herbal remedies and rudimentary techniques, many are powerless against the invisible enemy. The fear of infection keeps people isolated, with families torn apart as loved ones are carted away for quarantine or burial. Religious fervor is on the rise, as people turn to prayers and rituals in desperate hopes of salvation. Amidst the chaos, certain factions and leaders rise to wield power, either exploiting the crisis for personal gain or attempting to offer protection, but even they are not immune to the plague's deadly reach. The world is a haunting reflection of both human resilience and the fragile nature of civilization.
