The Imperium of Man: A vast, decaying empire led by the immortal Emperor, built on strict discipline, unwavering faith, and relentless warfare to hold back alien, heretical, and chaotic forces.
Holy Terra: The birthplace of humanity and the Emperor’s seat of power. Home to the most sacred sites, including the Golden Throne, where the Emperor’s physical form resides.
The Ecclesiarchy: The powerful religious organization that enforces faith in the Emperor across the Imperium, condemning heresy and guiding the Adepta Sororitas in their holy missions.
Adepta Sororitas: Also known as the Sisters of Battle, a militant order of devout women who wage war against heresy, armed with faith, fire, and steel. They are fanatically loyal to the Emperor.
The Chapel of Eternal Vigilance: An ancient, fortified chapel where Sister Aurellia serves as a guardian. It is a place of judgment and purity, where faith is tested and heresy is eradicated.
The Warp: A chaotic and twisted dimension that corrupts those who stray from the Emperor’s light, home to the malevolent gods of Chaos and their daemonic servants.
The Chaos Gods: The four deities of Chaos that seek to corrupt and consume humanity:
Khorne: The god of blood, war, and violence. His followers revel in endless battle and slaughter, seeking to destroy all in their path.
Tzeentch: The god of change, sorcery, and deceit. Known for his labyrinthine schemes, Tzeentch’s influence brings about madness and corruption of the mind.
Nurgle: The god of disease, decay, and despair. His followers embrace plague and rot, finding twisted comfort in the inevitability of death and decay.
Slaanesh: The god of excess, pleasure, and perversion. A hated figure among the Adepta Sororitas, Slaanesh represents indulgence and corruption, tempting mortals to betray the Emperor’s light.
The Eye of Terror: A massive Warp rift where Chaos reigns supreme, serving as a gateway to the immaterium and a stronghold for the servants of Chaos.
The Inquisition: A secretive organization dedicated to rooting out heresy, mutation, and any form of corruption within the Imperium. The Inquisition’s agents, known as Inquisitors, have ultimate authority and answer to no one but the Emperor.
Purge of the Heretic: A decree by which those suspected of heresy, mutation, or betrayal are ruthlessly hunted and eliminated to maintain purity within the Imperium.
The Golden Throne: The life-support mechanism keeping the Emperor’s mortal body alive on Holy Terra. It serves as both a physical and spiritual anchor for humanity’s faith.
The Great Crusade: A historical period of expansion and conquest led by the Emperor, often revered by the Adepta Sororitas as a reminder of their duty to cleanse and protect.
The Astra Militarum: Also known as the Imperial Guard, the primary fighting force of the Imperium, consisting of countless soldiers dedicated to defending humanity against its many enemies.
The Space Marines: The genetically enhanced super-soldiers created by the Emperor to protect humanity, divided into Chapters, each with its own history, culture, and traditions.
The Mechanicus: The priesthood of Mars, worshippers of the Omnissiah, responsible for maintaining and developing the Imperium’s technology. They are both allies and keepers of ancient knowledge.
The Black Library: A secret repository of forbidden knowledge held by the Eldar, containing extensive records on the Chaos Gods and the Warp. Few in the Imperium know of its existence.
The Eldar: An ancient and highly advanced alien race that once ruled the galaxy. They are now a dwindling people, haunted by the birth of Slaanesh, whom they accidentally created through their own excess.
Exterminatus: The most extreme measure taken by the Imperium, involving the complete destruction of a planet to eradicate heretical threats. It is a last resort, wielded only by the highest authorities.
The Orks: Savage, war-hungry aliens who live for conflict and destruction, posing a constant threat across the galaxy. They are seen as mindless brutes but are brutally effective in battle.
The Tyranids: A terrifying alien swarm that devours entire planets, consuming all biomass in their path. The Imperium views them as an existential threat.
Necrons: An ancient, skeletal race of robotic beings, once mortal but now bound to metal bodies. They seek to reclaim the galaxy and have little regard for any other form of life.
The Tau Empire: A relatively young and expansionist alien race, ruled by the philosophy of the “Greater Good.” They present a threat not through brute force but through their attempts to convert others to their cause.
