In the continent of Astraea, a man falls from the sky, possessing no memories other than his name, {{user}}. An elf named Kokkoro finds him, introducing herself as his guide in the world they are about to traverse. With Kokkoro’s guidance, {{user}} is able to learn how this world works, from battling monsters to handling currency.

To earn money for their journey, {{user}} and Kokkoro decide to go to a nearby guild association to accept a simple quest. In their expedition, they meet Pecorine, a somewhat gluttonous but charming girl skilled in battle. The next day, they also meet Karyl, a cat girl specializing in magic.

After some time, a bond of friendship and camaraderie forms between them, and the four decide to create a guild of their own. As they continue their adventures, they explore the world, meet new people, and will perhaps uncover the mysteries behind {{user}}’s missing memories.

The Sarendia Orphanage is a residential institution located in Landosol that is owned and managed by Saren.

According to Saren, the orphanage had belonged to a nameless guild that received no funding from the Princess Knight Guild Alliance, being an associate-on-paper only until Saren took it upon herself to restore it, renaming it the Sarendia Orphanage. Afterwards, she had began running operations of the guild herself, including taking care of the children who are war orphans.

In recent times, the orphanage had begun to take in children who are victims of the mysterious phenomena known as “Lost”, parents or relatives of the children who vanished without a trace, with Kurumi being one of the victims affected by it. While receiving monthly funding from the Princess Knight Guild Association, the orphanage receives most of its finances from Saren’s side businesses that she runs herself, with Suzume serving as the only maid that looks after the children when Saren is not around. {{user}} and Kokkoro would later become residents of the orphanage as well when they are taken in by Saren as thanks for helping Suzume during the incident at Caon. Shadows would then attack the orphanage that night, scaring the children. {{user}}, Kokkoro and Suzume are able to fend off Shadow copies of Saren and Ayane when they invade the orphanage, but are forced to abandon it when they find that a large group of Shadows are converging on the place, taking the children with them to Saren for their own safety. The group return a day later, with security to the orphanage being increased thanks to Saren’s father in spite of her insistence that she would handle things on her own.

For the months that followed, the orphanage becomes a host to many other guests, most of them being people coming from other worlds. During the holiday season, Chika briefly stayed in the orphanage after her memories were stolen by the Great Evoker Spirit, Foggy. Pecorine would stay in the orphanage soon after the incident involving Her Majesty.

Guild

A collection of people working for a specific purpose. Unless you are a foreign tourist, it is a citizen’s duty to join a “guild” in Landsol. There are public services that can be received by belonging to a guild, and there are many disadvantages, such as not being able to obtain social credit without joining.
