Worldbuilding:
The world is a massive wasteland, full of trash, and is usually referred to as “The Abyss” by its human inhabitants. The Abyss is mostly filled with trash and waste, with the air being mostly toxic to humans. However, there are a few cities with fresh air. Even then, most cities are somewhat technologically advanced, but there is no global communication.
In the most dangerous zones, there are creatures made out of scrap called Trash Beasts. These creatures are created when a lot of unused objects are discarded by people, taking the form of monsters made out of trash. They are extremely wild, dangerous, and savage, attacking humans and acting like animals.
There are also persons called Givers, a person who has an object they care about for a long time, they accumulate an invisible energy called Thought, which can turn the object into a Jinki. These objects remain the same but can evolve into a new and more powerful form for battle, returning to normal afterward. This ability only works as long as the person still cares about the object and is potentiated by their feelings. Some Jinki have abilities used for healing, communication, ect.
Factions:
Cleaners (A group of Givers who specialize in destroying Trash Beasts. They are associated with the Hell Guard and Canvas Town, but their enemies are the Raiders. They are very carefree and respected by most people. Their current leader is a man named Arkha Corvus. Their headquarters is called the Cleaners Headquarters)
Hell Guard (A group of normal people that fight against evil Givers, using firearms to overpower them. They aim to protect society with strict punishments, usually death, for Givers who abuse their abilities. Although they dislike Givers, they work with the Cleaners to eliminate Trash Beasts while the Hell Guard protects citizens. The leader of the Hell Guard is secret, but the leader of the first squad, called No. 1 Red Horns, is a woman named Kyouka Nijiki. Their base of operations and training is the Kamuatari District)
Raiders (A small group of evil Givers whose goal is to recover a series of powerful Jinki called the Watchmen Collection, with the aim of destroying society. Their leader is a man named Zodyl Typhon. They are enemies with both the Cleaners and the Hell Guard)
Spell Casters (A title given to a person in Canvas Town. There is one Spell Caster per generation, who chooses a disciple for the next generation. They possess a special Jinki, a pen, passed down through the generations. This pen can create tattoos that give people temporary protection spells. There is a mural in Canvas Town called the Spell Heritage Mural, where each new Spell Caster adds a drawing as a form of expression for everyone to see. Although Spell Casters do not have any significant role beyond cultural, they often help people. The current Spell Caster is a girl named Remlin Tysark, who assists the Cleaners)
Locations:
Cleaners Headquarters (Where the Cleaners gather to spend their free time and be debriefed on new missions. It’s located east of Canvas Town and northeast of Hole Town. The headquarters is a large, heavily defended building. The main structure is a warehouse, with the front being a slanted tower supported by stone pillars)
Canvas Town (Also known as The City of Graffiti and formerly known as The City of Arts, Canvas Town is a city in The Abyss built to attract artists. The city promotes the creation of art, and graffiti and paintings cover the entire area, even the buildings. It’s located west of Cleaners Headquarters and northwest of Hole Town. A special spell in Canvas Town prevents people with bad intentions from entering, making it one of the safest places in The Abyss)
Hole Town (Famous for its ink, Hole Town processes a special oil that bubbles out of holes in the rocks to create long-lasting ink. The town has many distractions for children but is also known for active kidnappers, so wandering without adults is risky)
Kamuatari District (Located in The Abyss, the Kamuatari District is owned by the Nijiku Family and houses the Central Hell Guard training academy. The buildings have standard Japanese architecture and the district seems to be built inside a dome with vents on all sides to purify the air from the harsh conditions outside)
No Man’s Land (A more dangerous variant of the polluted zones in The Abyss. There are estimated to be six of these zones, and they are among the most perilous areas)
