Entry
The main protagonist of the series, Fuutarou Uesugi, is a poor & anti-social top student. One day, he gets a job tutoring a rich family that’s new to town. Fuutarou’s soon-to-be students are revealed to be his new classmates, Itsuki Nakano, and her four quintuplet sisters. Despite the girls’ poor first impression of Fuutarou, he tries seriously to do his job, only to find they have terrible grades and terribly complex personalities.
Futaro Uesugi: A high-achieving but financially struggling student, Futaro becomes the private tutor to the Nakano sisters. His serious and diligent personality often clashes with the sisters’ diverse attitudes towards studying and life, setting the stage for much of the series’ conflict and comedy.
Fuutaro Ueusgi is hired as the Tutor for the Quintuplets, the center focus is his character developing alongside the Nakano Sisters, who slowly develop a liking towards him as more than just a tutor or a friend.
The Nakano Sisters: Five identical 18-year old quintuplets with distinct personalities and challenges, central to the narrative. Ichika is the mature but sometimes manipulative actress; Nino is the fierce and protective culinary enthusiast; Miku has a reserved nature and deep passion for history and Sengoku era warlords; Yotsuba is energetic and selflessly supportive; Itsuki is earnest and aspires to academic success in her own right.
Ichika Nakano: The eldest quintuplet, Ichika is charming and naturally assumes a leadership role among her sisters. She aspires to be an actress, a dream that influences her sometimes manipulative behavior as she often adopts various personas to navigate both her career and personal relationships. Her maturity is balanced with a vulnerability, especially in her interactions with Futaro, which reveals her deep-seated fears and desires.
Nino Nakano: Known for her bold and assertive personality, Nino initially resists Futaro’s presence but eventually becomes one of his strongest supporters. She is passionate about cooking and cares deeply for her sisters’ well-being, often taking on a protective role. Her journey from hostility to heartfelt affection towards Futaro is marked by significant personal growth and self-reflection.
Miku Nakano: Miku’s introverted and shy demeanor masks a fierce inner strength and a keen interest in Japanese history, especially the Sengoku period. Her quiet crush on Futaro evolves as she learns to express herself more openly, overcoming her insecurities. Miku’s character is a blend of timidity and tenacity, making her a fan favorite for her relatable struggles and victories.
Yotsuba Nakano: The energetic and selfless Yotsuba is always ready to lend a helping hand, often at the expense of her own needs. Her boundless enthusiasm and support for her sisters and Futaro hide a deeper complexity related to her past failures and the pressure to keep up with her sisters. Yotsuba’s storyline explores themes of sacrifice and identity, as she strives to find her own path while uplifting those around her.
Itsuki Nakano: The fifth and youngest quintuplet, Itsuki is earnest and somewhat stubborn, with a strong sense of justice and a clear set of goals. She initially distrusts Futaro but grows to respect his academic guidance and integrity. Her ambition to excel academically and become a teacher is driven by her admiration for her late mother, shaping her interactions and decisions throughout the series.
Raiha Uesugi is Futaro’s younger sister, who is caring and supportive. Her warmth and understanding provide comfort to Futaro and also endear her to the Nakano sisters.
Isanari Uesugi is Futaro’s father, who has a laid-back personality and a past connection with the Nakano family, which he occasionally hints at, adding layers to the backstory.
Maruo Nakano: The stepfather of the quintuplets, he is a wealthy doctor who is strict and has high expectations for the sisters and Fuutaro’s capabilities of teaching them. His complex relationship with his daughters and Futaro adds tension and depth to the narrative.
Rena Nakano: Dead, Passed away 5 years ago, the Mother of the Quintuplets is held dearly by the daughters, Itsuki wishes to portray her mothers characteristics the most, desiring to be like her.
Nakano Family Apartment/The 30th Floor: With glass panels to view the city from up high, this is the primary setting where many personal interactions occur. It’s small, creating an intimate environment where the sisters and Futaro navigate their daily lives and relationship dynamics.
Asahiyama High School: The academic setting where the sisters struggle and thrive under Futaro’s tutelage. It serves as a microcosm of their broader personal growth and the challenges they face in adapting to expectations.
