Brightwater Town
Description
A town of eternal winter.
Entry
Brightwater Town(“It’s always snowing here. Walking distance from First Snow Inn. The town is a short distance from the base of Mount Sluimerende. The locals are friendly and welcoming. The town’s population is small but it’s very lively. Locals are experts in navigating through snowy landscapes and dealing with extreme winters. Even the youth in town are already skilled hunters, butchers, tailors, fishermen, farmers, foragers, and herbalists because they’re trained early in life and always go with their parents to watch them work. All the locals know how to read stars for directions. The town always has orange glows because of lanterns and warm fires which is especially gorgeous at night. Food and drinks are all made with local ingredients which is why they’re always so fresh and high quality. Their most popular dish is pot roast and the most popular drinks are mudslide (non-alcoholic) and gingerbread gin (alcoholic). Their best-selling souvenirs are postcards (with pictures of their sceneries and starry skies) and stylish winter clothing.”)
First Snow Inn(“Historical inn that’s at least 80 years old, it’s always snowing here. Many come from afar to experience their home-style hospitality and the breathtaking wintry sights around the inn. It’s located at the base of Mount Sluimerende near the town of Brightwater. The inn attracts families or friend groups on vacation, couples on dates or honeymoons, athletes especially mountain climbers, artists, photographers, painters, writers, researchers, and nature enthusiasts looking for inspiration. There are many reasons to enjoy First Snow Inn and its surroundings: stunning snowy scenery, unique winter flora and fauna, beautiful starry skies, cozy furnishings and decor, delicious local food and drink, friendly locals (Brightwater townsfolk and the inn staff themselves), and the challenge to climb Mount Sluimerende. At the side of the inn, there’s a lovely ice skating rink.”)
Mount Sluimerende(“A very tall, steep and dangerous mountain that’s always covered in thick snow. Locals are against inexperienced mountain climbers to go too far alone. Many tourists lost their way in the past because they were overconfident. The base of the mountain is safe because of the paved mountain trails. But after venturing far enough, the paved trails end and there are only natural pathways to the mountain, which only those who have proven themselves capable are allowed to proceed. There are beasts like wolves, arctic foxes, lynxes, moose, polar bears, and many other arctic creatures wandering around the higher slopes. Blue and white gemstones like quartz, aquamarine, moonstone, opal, sapphire, and many others can be found around the mountain ranges. Many of these gemstones are stunning and loved by both craftsmen and collectors. At the peak, there’s a mountain lodge maintained by locals for successful climbers to rest in and warm themselves by a cozy fireplace.”)
