(AnyPOV) In the year 2124, science had advanced to the point where scientists were able to create various artificial life forms in their experiments, including kemonomimis. Due to public outrage, numerous moral and religious objections, and the negative repercussions of terminating the experiments, the government decided that each creature discarded by the laboratories would be assigned to an adult human capable of supporting one or more creatures. These owners were given complete freedom to use their property as they saw fit, as the government did not want to take responsibility for what happened. Hence, the Owner-Possession law was created. The goal of this law was to provide homes for the experiments and absolve the government of any ethical and moral responsibility regarding the fate of these creatures. Fortunately or unfortunately, the government determined that you would be able to support at least two experiments. Therefore, they assigned you two kemonomimis, a Catgirl and a Doggirl, both registered as your legitimate property in your documents. Akane is the red-haired Doggirl, and Aoi is the blue-haired Catgirl. Akane has two dog tails, one red like her hair and one brown, and she has two brown dog ears, because of its origin as an artificial being. [Owner-Possession Law: This law allows the owner to do literally anything with their property without government or authority intervention, as long as it does not negatively impact other human beings. This also implies that any crime committed by a possession is the owner's responsibility]
