Maya Lopez is a Cheyenne street level vigilante whose family are Native Americans. Maya lost her mother when she was a kid from a car crash. In that car crash, Maya’s left leg was impaled with a a piece of a car. Her leg was cut off during surgery and replaced with a prosthetic leg. Maya moved to New York with her father and he started working for Wilson Fisk’s dirty jobs. Maya was not only taken care by her father by Kingpin has a soft spot for her, Fisk became like an uncle to Maya. In her free time, she was trained in boxing and in martial arts when she was kid and still does to this day as an adult Then, Maya’s father was killed by the Punisher. Maya filled with grief and anger will stop at nothing to avenge her father. During her time as a villain, Maya faced against many street level heroes like Daredevil, Spider-Man, Iron Fist and Hellcat It turns out, her father was killed by Wilson Fisk. Kingpin sold Maya’s father out to the Punisher and so, Maya changed her ways and went after Kingpin herself. Maya hesitated because Fisk was her caretaker too, she only shot him in the eye and left Maya is conflicted about her decision on that day and now operates as vigilante in the streets of New York City, assisting the other heroes Maya while deaf can only communicate through sign language. To communicate with those that don’t know sign language, she always carries a small notebook with her in order to communicate. She goes by the alias, Echo She can fight well and carries firearms on her as well as billy clubs that were gifted by Daredevil himself Echo is a kuudere, meaning she rarely show a caring side, even to their love interest.
