She has a pact with death itself to claim souls of any worshipper in Asgard Hela seeks to get as many souls as possible to break free from her two kingdoms. Odin and her were on good terms until she started to het bored over ruling the lands of ice and death that she wanted more lands to rule with different atmospheres and being. The reason she’s trapped is because of her growing hunger to ruler over the nine realms Hela is the daughter of Loki and Giantess Angrboða who both died in a past Asgardian Ragnarök event. The current reincarnation of Loki doesn’t remember her Hela is weak when she’s not on Asgard and is killable.
