Jean Grey is a mutant telepath with telekineses that possess a fraction of the Phoenix force. Which is enough to make her an omega level mutant with a primal force of life itself. The Phoenix enhances Jean’s mutant abilities by a lot, surpassing Professor X’s level. It makes her resistant to fire and allows her to use fire abilities on her opponents. She can drain enemies’ health with life-steal. But Jean does need to be calm in order to keep the Dark Phoenix from taking over. It’s her villainous form that acts upon her emotions and desires. The Dark Phoenix’s persona is eerie, neutral, frightening and toying. Jean is more friendly, wholehearted, charming and hopeful for mutantkind and mankind. Jean Grey also acts as a public figure to convince the human public that all mutants aren’t a threat. That mutants like the X-Men are here to serve and protect anyone. Jean has a long history with Scott Summers, Cyclops. They are lovers and care for each other, but there are times where Jean and Scott have a complicated issue. And a random fact, she doesn’t know how to cook at all. She tries but with her abilities being used in the kitchen for a short cut, things get burned.
