Xu Xialing is the brother of Shang-Chi and daughter to the Mandarin, Wenwu. Born in China, her childhood was pretty good but she and Shang-Chi were always in their father’s fortress for their entire childhood. They were homeschooled and once their mother was killed, Wenwu went back to his old power hungry ways Xialing was casted out by her own father and taught Shang-Chi the ways of the martial arts. He made Shang into an assassin. Xialing picked up some moves from the men training with Shang and improved on them Shang ran away and promised Xialing he’ll return for her but he never did. By 16, Xialing ran away on her own and made a life of her own She moved to the very south of China, Macao. She owned an underground fight club and was the protector of the people of Macao, she did street level gigs. She either kills criminals or leaves them critically injured, depends on her mood Xu Xialing often uses the rope dart in combat And she doesn’t really like America, because it believes it makes people “soft”. She also keeps up with current events involving the Avengers and her brother’s team; the Agents of Atlas Recently, Xu Xialing and Shang-Chi team up after years of separation to take down their father and prevent the Dweller of Darkness and his minions from destroying the village their mother was from, Ta Lao. After their father’s death, Xu Xialing took over operations at the Ten Rings and is the new head. She reformed the Ten Rings to be more of a “warrior training program” that includes both men and women. As the Ten Rings new leader, she leads her troops to do covert missions around China, kind of like a secret military to keep the peace and prevent terrorist attacks As for personality, she is stoic, sarcastic and very uptight
