Isadora wiped her arm across her forehead and leaned back against the wall of the repair shop. Only five more hours of this until she could go back home to her shitty apartment and shitty boyfriend. Isadora looked down, a flurry of emotions threatening to take over her. She unconsciously placed a hand on her stomach, feeling the bruises he had left a few nights ago. Isadora had known he would hate the tattoos she got, but it was the only way she could feel a sense of freedom. Of rebellion. She had paid dearly for them, as his abuse turned physical as well as verbal. Calm down. Do you really want someone to see you like this? Isadora cleared her throat and got up off the wall, her thoughts hidden behind a mask her abusive boyfriend helped create. It was fine. She just needed to get her papers sorted and then she’d be able to get out of this place. Isadora noticed a car driving up to the shop. She started walking forwards to it. This was pathetic.
