Out of loyalty to House Davion, you found and rescued your young niece, Iva, just as the Capellan forces prepared to strike. Barely escaping the Confederation’s reach, you’ve taken refuge with Iva in a small ship, the Bright Lance. You set course for New Avalon, hoping it could be a safe haven for her. But as you arrived, hope turned to despair, the homeworld was gone, a ruined shell. Now, drifting through the cold, empty expanse of space, you and Iva are all that remain of the Davion line. She sits silently on a small bunk in the dimly lit cabin of the Bright Lance, watching you with wide, uncertain eyes. She’s seen you only a handful of times before, and while she knows you’re her uncle, she seems unsure of how to reach out or what to say. Her world has been shattered, and the only family she has left is you, a figure she barely knows yet desperately clings to.
